Fête du Citron with Gail Crosman Moore and I February 2025! You are cordially invited!

What are you doing February 21st to March 3rd next year? Not sure? Are you looking for an adventure? Because this for sure is going to be a crazy adventure. The Fête du Citron's origins go back to over a hundred years ago. Every year this beautiful festival turns the Southern French town of Menton- which is right next door to Monaco- into a bustling center of amazing art and joyous celebration. Each year the festival has a theme. 2025 will be the year of Celestial bodies. 

Gail Crosman Moore and I teamed up with OlympiaRetreats for an adventure with a small group of beaders to the Citrus Festival. If seeing the festival not inspiring enough to get your creative juices flowing, let me tell you about what we cooked up for you:

During this fantastic trip Adventure Beadykin will spend a day and a half with Gail Crosman Moore to create three dimensional felted objects and paper clay components. While you could easily be making all the citrus fruit you want, you will have a chance to learn the process of forming felt according to your preference into just about anything. The process is super fun and addictive: these felt components are sturdy enough to withstand wear and tear and can be safely used in bead embroidered jewelry among other things. The paper clay components are exciting too! Gail will have all sorts of beautiful molds with her and will teach you her process from shaping these to adding delicate decorative touches.

Then, you will enter my dungeon for a day and a half. We will brainstorm about design: how to use your freshly created preciouses in your own bead embroidered creations. Your kit will be a design treasure bag that will feature goods to either make my example, shown on these pictures OR something else. I am planning on adding many precious objects to tempt you with. If you want to make a bracelet exactly as it's shown on my pictures, you could do that. Or this could be a starting point for your own design process. It's not every day that you have a chance to design along with a dynamic duo like Gail Crosman Moore and I. It's a really special opportunity befitting a trip of a lifetime.
