How about a tour of Morocco?

I am so lucky for getting to travel to exotic places to make beautiful things with lovely people. This tour of Morocco is going to be a special trip indeed, one for the ages.

Beadventures is organizing the two week trip that is filled with all the things you might think of when thinking of Morocco: the Sahara desert and camel rides, Kasbahs, spices and marketplaces, magic carpet rides and jinns.

It's a place on most bucket lists but it's hard to travel across the globe to just discover it on your own. Especially if you are a comfort conscious shiny driven bead goddess who does not know where to start with the adventure planning. Well, this is your chance: Beadventures did all the organizing for you and they contracted me to keep your beady little hands entertained so you have something to take home with you that you made on your own in the land of magic; something to remind you of this trip for the rest of your life.  Jeez, it's not intimidating  for that to be the starting point of whatever project I would design for this trip, right? Especially because I wanted to make something that is indeed reminiscent of the place and pays homage not only to the crazy colorful enchanted landscapes, but also honors the sacred geometry making the architecture so special.

In the end, the bracelet I made portrays a Moroccan landscape with the Atlas Mountains, desert, and sky viewed from a Kasbah's courtyard. Colorful and rich, this bracelet tempts with precious components I have been collecting for my own stash for decades. Things one can no longer find, such as seven different varieties of freshwater pearls, Mexican and Ethiopian opals, hematite, chrysanthemum stone, ammonite, tanzanite, five types of Swarovski crystals, three types of Chinese crystals, two kinds of vintage French beads, and thirteen varieties for Japanese seed beads. A usual bead embroidered bracelet consists of two layers-foundation and backing. Atlas Bound consists of four layers and it's a labor of love indeed. But we will have plenty of time to work on this beastie of a project on our adventure through Morocco, viewing this breathtaking landscape in real life.

Shall you decide that the next 4 years are going to be a good time to not be home for a change and you are going to live large and travel a lot because who knows what's going to happen next; consider this trip.

The bracelet is just an icing on the cake. Traveling together, spending quality time getting to know likeminded individuals, seeing how different life is in other places, how magical all the places are that you only ever have seen on tv, that's the best part.

Well, here is all the info for you:
