Flaming June

Marcie over at La Bella Joya has a beading challenge every month, where she makes beautiful things based on architecture, paintings or other works of art, and challenges herself, and her readers to create jewelry with a specific color scheme based on the piece of art.
How cool is that?
I just discovered her blog and I knew I had to join the fun.
She had to paintings to inspire us this month, Vermeer's Girl with the pearl earring and Frederic Leighton's Flaming June.
Well, Flaming June is new to me, and I was captivated by the unusual color combination.

So here is what came of it. I am very intrigued by these colors together, so there might be more orange creations coming soon.
The picture of the painting is from Wikipedia.
